V8 & V12

The Chevrolet  C 1 Corvette  and the E Type are  a generation apart. I fact the V12 E is even further away. General Motors initial offering was a six cylinder fibre glass car, intended to compete with Jaguar’s XK120, that developed into a V8 version which in 1958 was redesigned into a rather striking, twin headlamp  variant.

Jaguar went through three iterations  of the XK and replaced it in 1961  with the world beating E Type that in 1971 changed from a six cylinder sports car into a luxurious V12 grand tourer. I’m lucky enough to have an example of a C1 and a V12 E.
